The afternoon of March 16 brought long due satisfaction and happiness to the hard work and struggle of Kunal Saurav with the announcement of GATE 2018 result. Kunal secured an AIR of 66 in his GATE EE paper. Hailing from Araria district of Bihar, Kunal has completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from NIT Uttarakhand and dreams to work in a leading PSU. Kunal dedicates his success to his family who were his constant supporters.
There is a popular quote that says, “It’s hard to beat a person, who never gives ups.” This perfectly suits Sashidhar Saash, who cracked GATE 2018 and secured an All India Rank 13 in Instrumentation Engineering. The Andhra Pradesh based boy who is currently working at Infosys in Hyderabad had earlier attempted GATE thrice half-heartedly.
One of the prime objective of our education system is to give every student a level-playing field, notwithstanding whether the student is from an English- or Hindi-medium background. But in reality, it remains firmly loaded in favour of students from English-medium. A student of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at NIT Warangal, Saurav is a cricket enthusiast who likes playing the sport during his leisure.

Survanshu Saxena is a step closer, to his dream of studying in IISc Bangalore or leading IITs and pursuing research there. A student of Biotechnology at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura, Survanshu appeared for GATE 2018 and scored an India rank of 10 in the exam. His mantra of having no strategy worked as he set up goals and tried to achieve them as opposed to having a fixed schedule or timetable.

It was a proud moment when he logged into to know that he had secured an All India rank of six in JEE Main 2018.
